Not so common repairs but seen often enough to mention:
- Split flint tubes
- Flint tubes that have broken loose from the solder joint where they anchor to the frame and need to be silver soldered back into position.
- Replacement of missing or damaged parts — replacement flint spring and ends:
- Replacement wands and/or wicks
All involve extra work and are quoted to the collector before being undertaken.
