Ronson Butane Lighter Repair

During World War II, the Germans called Sherman Tanks "Ronsons" because they caught fire when hit by German tank guns.

A word about butane models- there seems to be a resurgence of interest in Varaflame models both in the US and around the world- but due to the unreliability of the original valves, many of which are 40 years old now, and the expense of new replacement valves when purchased in the small quantities I used, I no longer repair these lighters.

I have disposed of my entire collection of Varaflame parts and lighters- but I still have an excellent source for repairing these lighters- so if you have a Varaflame or other make of butane lighter ( Dunhill, DuPont and the like) that is in need of repair, please fell free to send an inquiry and I will reply and forward your inquiry directly to the repair business that now does all of my personal butane repairs and they will provide you with the same excellent service they provide me.
